Max's owner said: “Lungworm is a horrible condition which dog owners need to be aware of and know what the tell tale symptoms are.” Symptoms include irregular breathing, nose bleeds, bruising and general sickness. However, while vets think it is important for dog owners to recognise these symptoms, the Royal Veterinary College study shows that only 36 per cent of vets have seen a case in the last year.
